Project Details:
Ideoli collaborated with Hilton Garden Inn Arcade to enhance the hotel’s expansive atrium with a lighting solution that honored the architecture’s legacy while introducing a sleek, modern visual impact. The challenge was to create a suspended lighting feature that was both visually commanding and harmonious with the glass-ceilinged arcade and historic surroundings. Ideoli worked with 37 Volts Lighting Design and Villa Lighting to bring the vision to life.
Key Achievements:
Custom-Built Globe Fixtures:
Ideoli engineered and fabricated a series of oversized, globe-style pendants, installed into a linear formation to span the full length of the hotel’s central corridor. The bold geometric design of the fixtures—featuring clean lines and a matte black frame—contrasted beautifully with the ornate arched windows and skylight above, creating a sophisticated balance between old and new.
Optimized Illumination for Natural Integration:
Given the space’s abundance of daylight from the glass ceiling, Ideoli carefully calibrated the fixture’s diffused glow to complement the ever-changing natural light throughout the day. This allowed for a consistent, welcoming atmosphere from sunrise to evening check-ins.
Scale and Precision Engineering:
With the grand scale of the atrium, precision was key. The lights had to feel proportionally correct while maintaining aesthetic cohesion throughout the space. Ideoli’s attention to scale, mounting technique, and finish ensured seamless integration into the environment—neither overpowering nor fading into the background.
