Ideoli manufactures lighting products for food prep areas to meet FDA food code 2009

(NEW YORK) APRIL 05, 2017 – Ideoli manufactures best-in-class lighting products that not only provide clients with high-quality design, functionality and efficiency, but also safety and compliance, including for food prep areas that need to meet FDA Food Code 2009.

This food code includes requirements that light bulbs and/or lighting fixtures used in areas exposed to items such as food, clean equipment, utensils and linens to be shielded, coated or otherwise shatter resistant. This standard helps ensure that broken light bulbs and/or lighting fixtures do not end up in someone’s food.

“Depending on the project, we can and do use a variety of techniques in order to ensure our products are safe for use in food prep areas while meeting our clients’ design and functionality needs,” says Chris Hartswick, Ideoli’s Co-Founder and CPO.

Ideoli gives restaurants, hospitality environments and other businesses that need to comply with FDA Food Code 2009 the peace of mind that their products are safe.

“We want our clients to be able to focus on delivering a great experience for their customers, rather than worrying about regulation and anything involved with the ceiling. That’s why we’re committed to manufacturing lighting products that comply with this code,” says George Stroumboulis, ideoli’s Co-Founder and CEO.
