Confidence is soaring in Greece – politically and commercially

“It’s amazing with the new government this year that has taken over, that the level of confidence in Greece as a nation and as a global investment destination,” says George Stroumboulis, Ideoli CEO and Co-Founder. “It’s imperative that we not only continue to build our footprint here with our team and employees, but to also build our client platform to get in with our LED lighting products and interiors,” says George.

LED lighting makes the world go round

At Ideoli, we develop custom lighting fixtures and feature the latest LED lighting technology on the market. LED lights have evolved since the 1960’s. But what exactly is LED?  LED stands for light emitting diode. LED lighting products produce light approximately 90% more efficiently than incandescent light bulbs. LEDs work by an electrical current passes through a microchip, which illuminates the tiny light sources we call LEDs and the result is visible light. LEDs produce less heat which makes them more energy efficient. LED lights are competitively priced. LEDs last longer, use less energy, therefore you’ll be saving money all around! Contact Ideoli to engage us for your next LED product or project idea. Facebook-f Linkedin-in Tumblr Envelope

Growing our talent pool in Athens, Greece

“So we just landed in Athens Greece, we are here for some meetings and team development. We have a fantastic office here with some really powerful individuals. This is actually Chris’ first time in Greece, so I’m excited to show him the basics in and around the city,” says George Stroumboulis, Ideoli CEO and Co-Founder.  Ideoli is on the move again and this time our travels brought us to the cosmopolitan city of Athens in Greece. “When we started developing our game plan for having offices in Greece and building up a team here and getting talent from the local market in the design/creative space. Looking five years from now or five year ago of where we were and where we are now and you being exposed to the talent and the team you’ve been able to develop under you, what are your thoughts overall?” asks George. “Overall definitely a huge success for us. The reason that I was intrigued by it is just the amount of architectural schools and design schools and product design schools. All those different elements, we have access to in such a small area but then not only that but the influence of Europe itself,” says Chris Hartswick, Ideoli CPO and Co-Founder. Greece is strategic to Ideoli’s growth as we continue our growth to be able to service all of Europe effectively. “Of course, having your background and your access here is sorted of an added plus. Just couldn’t be happier with the amount of talent and the type of talent we have gotten out of the region,” says Chris. Stay tuned for adventures in Greece!

Team building 101: bar hopping and scooters in Athens

We love having a blast and not taking ourselves too seriously. No matter the situation, we always find the fun in the situation at hand. On a recent trip to Athens, Greece – the team met up for meetings, followed by a happy hour into the night… follow by some scooter action in the streets of Athens.  Once 4AM hit, the streets were ours… and George and Chris led the way trekking through the streets from Monastiraki all the way to Syntagma Square. Almost on a straight path. With minimal injuries, we repeat, minimal injuries… the boys got to their destination for only a few bucks in cost. And several laughs.

Magazine update: on site at the printing factory in Athens, Greece

“We are on site at our printing vendor’s facility here in Athens, Greece to oversee the production of our first ever magazine at Ideoli,” says George Stroumboulis, Ideoli CEO and Co-Founder. “When it comes to offset printing, we just love the traditional aspect to it. The quality of these machines in these facilities and how it accentuates the colors, the text and how it pops. We surveyed several potential printer options across North America and Europe when deciding on who to print our magazine with. Seeing blank white pages come to life with our branding and messaging and our stories printed on them in person is an absolutely exciting and we can’t wait to share them with our partners around the world,” says George.   Facebook-f Linkedin-in Tumblr Envelope

We visited the world’s highest library

When is the last time you visited a library? Don’t be ashamed, us too! We are going to visit the world’s highest library located on the 60th floor of the JW Marriott hotel at Tomorrow Square in Shanghai, China. “In honor of books and bringing us back to the roots, we’re going to visit the world’s tallest library,” says George Stroumboulis, Ideoli CEO and Co-Founder. You have to take a couple elevators to get there and then climb up some steps, but definitely worth the experience. Just how high is that? 230 meters (or 757 feet) above street level. “We’re going up to the 38th floor and then we have to transfer and then go up to the 60th floor to get to the world’s highest library,” says George Stroumboulis, Ideoli CEO and Co-Founder. Opened in November 2003, this library boasts a Guinness World Record and over 100 shelves of Chinese and English books. Get reading, people!
