Listening and learning from potential customers

Ideoli learned early the importance of positive customer contact. We understood customers to have a world of options. They’ve made purchases in person at brick and mortar stores and through e-commerce on the Web. But Ideoli also understood that the technology is not just the focus. We’ve seen today’s consumer want the full successful experience. Not only has the product price been important to today’s consumer, but the manner in which it is available, the extra perks and even the pleasantry of the shopping experience has played a role.  Understanding our customers and their specific needs has been at our forefront. Based on “Move over millennials, Gen-Z now the largest single population segment,” by Greg Sterling, “According to Nielsen’s new Total Audience report, millennials and Gen-Z now comprise 48 percent of the total media audience. Gen-Z in particular is now the single largest audience segment at 26 percent (although there’s a vast age range).” We learned that these are the generations that want that hands-on experience personal to them. Reality is – we, at Ideoli, have seen the importance of this tailored service and need for great customer interaction from beginning all the way through, past the end so that they are a return customer. According to “Getting Customer Experience Strategy Right: Best Practices of CX (Customer Experience) Leaders,” by Michael Hinshaw, “…research shows that nearly 9 out of 10 customers say they’ve left a company, switching due to poor customer experience.” With this in mind, Ideoli put their best foot forward with offering high quality products backed by efficient service and a professional communication with our customers. Knowing that today’s potential customers had options, Ideoli knew that any interaction – need it be in person, by phone or online — created an opportunity to interact with the customer. This interaction enabled the customer to create an opinion about Ideoli on a whole. It was an all-around comprehensive way of seeing our company, or brand, and what it represented. According to “The Disconnected Customer: What digital customer experience leaders teach us about reconnecting with customers,” by Capgemini Digital Transformation Institute, customers are willing to pay for their experience – “81% of consumers are willing to pay for a better experience.” With this better experience, companies like Starbucks provided features that allowed customers to pre-pay with quick pick-up without waits still while receiving rewards on their reward system. According to Capgemini Digital Transformation Institute, “17 million customers use Starbucks’ mobile app1.” Starbuck’s reaction – “Within eight months of its release in 2015, it was processing over seven million mobile orders a month.” Ideoli learned that it’s one thing to have the desire to offer this great all-around customer experience, but it’s another to place it into working order. With that, a transformation of employee training needed to take place. We’ve learned the importance of being proactive in getting the new information out to our employees. And it’s not a one-time lesson. We’ve learned that it’s best to provide this information in small quantities in multiple manners to all employees. We learned the importance of making our employees part of the solution by creating digital information available to meet them where they are, be it on their phones or office computers while onsite. We’ve learned that if employees feel a part of something, they will take better steps to enhance the company on a whole. We know that customers don’t have the patience to wait until we have our act together. So we need to streamline the processes and make them look smooth. These changes can be measured by the customer responses. Ideoli learned early the importance of positive customer contact. We understood customers to have a world of options. And millennials and Gen-Z now comprise of the majority of those customers. With that, a transformation of employee training was streamlined. Learning from other companies have been a benefit. But reaching the customers and meeting their needs has been the overall goal. 3 pieces of advice for creating value from a negotiations expert

Ideoli learned about the strength in gaining knowledge from others. We had that opportunity while meeting Fotini Iconomopoulos, a Negotiations Consultant. Known as “the negotiator,” Fotini’s LinkedIn states, “Today business executives partner with me to achieve their business goals, increase profitability and create a competitive advantage. I empower executives and their teams through my expertise in negotiation, communication and persuasion.” With that potential knowledge to unlock, Ideoli asked “What are your top pieces of advice for creating value?” Fotini provided three pieces of advice: First she explained, understand what drives both people/groups on either side. This includes you, understand your drive and incentives. Next, she explained the need to pay close attention. Understand and hear the other people’s/groups’ drives and incentives. And lastly, Fotini suggests getting creative for an innovative outcome. Think outside the box. When asked if she had anything to add, Fotini stated, “Be prepared to be flexible. Do some brainstorming and come up with solutions instead of trying to stay fixed in one mindset.” So, let’s go forward with an innovative outcome with flexibility to reach that final product!  Fotini Iconomopoulos, a Negotiations Consultant provided three pieces of advice for creating value: understand your drive and incentives, understand and hear their drives and incentives, get innovative for an innovative outcome. Ideoli’s showcase led end-to-end chandelier brings spaces to life

At Ideoli, we’ve had the opportunity to light large spaces while showcasing art in its display. One example, Ideoli’s End to End Chandelier featured a simple layout with hung bulbs in glass casings connected by black metal bases and rods along the ceiling. These connected rods created a grid layout. To the eye – it portrayed a quilt against the ceiling.  The complex design of the rods brought a modern feel to this layout. The rods were specifically positioned in a consistent layout throughout the room. According to “Guide to Warehouse Lighting,” by Devin Davis it is important in the manner of which the fixtures are displayed. Davis explains, “If they are positioned too close together, you’ll experience hot spots and/or glare where the light from one fixture overlaps with the next. If they are positioned too far apart, you’ll get illumination “drop-off” or dark areas. Be sure to map out where your fixtures need to be before purchasing or installing.” Ideoli keeps these design keys in mind when providing our clients with the final product. We’re also consistent in the design elements in our working environment. For instance – Ideoli’s End to End Chandelier features an industrial look known as the “Salt mine style fixture.” This is a distinct design featured in retail, commercial and warehouse spaces. These large spaces are perfect locations to display these attractive complex designs while lighting the clients’ environment. Ideoli’s End to End Chandelier features a consistent modern layout primarily displayed in large spaces such as retail, commercial or warehouse spaces. Ideoli’s decorative LED ring chandeliers give that “WOW” factor

At Ideoli, we understand the need to draw customers into your store. Our beautiful LED ring chandeliers do just that, welcoming customers while providing the “wow” factor. Their beautiful sparkles enhance the environment while generating sales by welcoming clients into your space.  Web article, 20+ Unique Ideas to Boost Foot Traffic to Your Retail Store explained that need. “It says to customers that you care about them, their comfort, and well-being. Provide them with something they need or that can make their shopping experience better, even if it may not be related to shopping on the surface.” Ideoli heard our client’s need – a unique fixture, and we designed that too. George Stroumboulis, Ideoli CEO and co-founder, expressed his excitement over our clients’ feedback. “It’s very promising seeing what we’re doing…  and the reaction our clients have. Makes it all worth it,” he says. Clients and customers appreciate the glamour of the LED ring chandelier. Bringing elegance and usability to retail store offers, not only a welcoming environment, but a glamourous experience. This sparkling masterpiece glimmered from all angles of the specialty retail flagship store in Rockefeller Center in New York City. But don’t take our word for it. Random people on the street from all over the world were asked their thoughts on this glamourous showpiece. “They were beautiful,” Gabriella elaborated, “It was like a focal point in the store. It’s like the first thing you notice when you walk in.” Francesca said that “[The] Chandeliers are absolutely amazing, really shows the dolls off to a really good advantage, contemporary and really bright.” Ideoli must have gotten it right. These glamorous LED Ring Chandeliers were also placed into the Middle Eastern specialty retail stores in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain promoting creativity to all their visitors. Ideoli’s products help make the world’s top malls even better

All around the world, stores in malls or shopping centers are fighting to get the attention of shoppers. The more beautiful the space, the more stunning its lighting, furnishings and fixtures, the easier it is to draw people inside. And, that’s where Ideoli comes in.  At Ideoli, we are committed to working with our clients to create spaces that wow. We’ve inspired several projects in some of the most prestigious malls in the world, including a number in Dubai. Recently, Ideoli co-founder George Stroumboulis traveled to that city. He headed to three different malls there to check out  our newly completed projects in the retail and restaurant spaces, including American Girl and California Pizza Kitchen. He wanted to see  how the products looked and how they enhanced the clients’ spaces. George was thrilled with  the outcome. Time and again, Ideoli was able to take a client’s vision of what they wanted their store to look like and make it into a reality. Spectacular lighting and custom furnishings and fixtures added up to one-of-a-kind spaces that caught the eyes of consumers, compelling them to walk through the doors and spend some time in the restaurant or retail space. What more could a client ask for? Making the trek around the world to see the reactions of our clients was very productive and well worth the trip, George said. It’s always exciting to see up close and personal  how our products look and how well they enhance our clients’ spaces. It’s beyond rewarding to see the impact of our hard work and the positive response from clients. Next time you walk through a mall and enter a store, look around. Chances are Ideoli has helped invigorated the space where you’re shopping. Ideoli helps office environments with perfect lighting fixtures

At Ideoli, we understand that creating the perfect office environment is just as important as your employee’s health, productivity, and your company’s overall appearance and brand. Creating this environment begins with lighting – one of the most important elements. Ideoli has developed some of the best LED lighting products available, with you in mind. According to the article, “How Lighting Can Affect Productivity of A Workplace” by Office Team Limited, “24% of office workers claimed poor lighting as a factor in causing loss of work due to eyestrain and discomfort, with an overall 2% loss of productivity per year for each individual in a workplace.” Ideoli created LED linear products that enhance the overall aesthetics of your office, but also offer a range of options – greater output, seamless dimmability, competing industry prices and meeting the Title24 standard. Ideoli developed these LED linear products to, not only bring your office space to life, but to meet your specific space requirements. Did you know that lighting effects concentration and “your overall feeling of health and well-being can change with just the flick of a switch?” according to “Flick of a Switch: How Lighting Affects Productivity and Mood,” by Molly Greenberg. We have several clients using our products throughout North America in some of the most progressive environments in the commercial space. Invigorate your office space with aesthetics and purpose in mind. Growing with our retail client in the middle East: American Girl

Last December, Ideoli helped to make the new American Girl flagship store in New York City shine like no other store with the installation of our magnificent statement chandelier. For months, we worked side-by-side with our partners, leading a team of designers, engineers and architects. The result: we created and installed a one-of-a-kind, spectacular lighting fixture for the iconic store. And New Yorkers loved it. But we didn’t stop at New York.  Ideoli has expanded internationally along with American Girl and has created and installed statement chandeliers in several new store locations throughout the Middle East. We’re talking Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. We are so excited to be involved in these new American Girl stores, magical places that have been charming and inspiring girls of all ages since 1986. And we are super proud of the stunning pieces we’ve installed at each new location. Each chandelier is the focal point of the space it lights up…each one provides the ‘wow’ factor that effortlessly draws consumers into the store. Working with American Girl in the Middle East gives us the opportunity to show even more people what Ideoli is capable of. It’s been exhilarating to see the positive reactions of our clients. It helps us realize our hard work has all been worth it.  It’s what continues to drive us to keep on creating products that enhance our clients’ spaces…no matter where they are in the world. The next time you’re in the Middle East, swing by the American Girl store in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Bahrain to see how Ideoli can invigorate creativity and light up your retail spaces. Road trip to Chicago to engage with our growing client

It’s no secret we love to travel at Ideoli. Whether it’s to connect with partners, check in on our latest installation or meet up with clients, we never hesitate to jump on a plane, hop on a bus or train or get behind the wheel of a car. We are always ready and willing to go where our clients go. This time, we’re back on the road again in the good old USA. Our destination: Chicago. Known as the Windy City, it is the country’s third-largest city and one of our favorites. It’s got great restaurants, the Millennium Park campus and of course, that fabulous lake. But food and fun weren’t the real reasons two separate crews from Ideoli made the trip to Chicago —one driving 13 hours from New York City and the other flying four hours from Los Angeles. We went  to Chicago to attend an industry tradeshow and to meet up with some of our clients. We met them at their hotel, took over one of the conference rooms and set up a mini tradeshow display. It gave us the chance to bring the unique Ideoli experience directly to our clients. We presented new lighting fixture prototypes for their new store design, so our clients were able to see, touch and feel the products—up close and personal. Our excursion to Chicago was definitely worth the trip! Whether it’s by car, plane, train or bus, Ideoli’s bags are always packed. We’re ready to go wherever our clients may need us to go.  Ideoli is dedicated to making it easy for our clients to achieve all of their design needs. See you at the next tradeshow! Ideoli’s typical 72-hour trip across the world to meet clients

At Ideoli, we don’t let little things like time or distance get in the way of meeting with clients. No matter where our clients are, we’ll find our way to them. Recently, Ideoli Co-founder George made what for him is a pretty typical trip to see some clients. In just 72-hours, he went from Los Angeles to Europe to the Middle East. It was a big journey with multiple stops, a trip that was jam-packed with client meetings but George took it all in stride. After all, whether it’s meeting in their office or taking on-site tours of their stores and hotels, visiting clients around the world is the best way to see Ideoli’s latest installations. And perhaps even more importantly, it’s a chance to see how our clients are reacting to what we’re doing. Nurturing and maintaining great relationships with our clients is something Ideoli takes very seriously. We are constantly setting the bar higher when it comes to showing them how important they are to us. That’s why we don’t hesitate to hop on a plane and travel half way around the world and back again in 72-hours. It’s another way  to support our clients  and strengthen our commitment to learning how we can continue to invigorate their spaces.  At Ideoli, we strive to connect globally with each and every one of our clients. We love exploring and navigating new cities and different cultures. No matter what part of the world our client is in, we’ll get there. Our bags are always packed, and in less than a day, we can travel to wherever we’re needed. No trip is too big, too far or too quick for Ideoli. See you on the road at our next destination! Impressing the S#@% out of our clients is our top priority

We, at Ideoli had a successful meeting today with a very important client. We displayed our product prototypes to a team of designers and specifiers. And we’ve just got to say, that we impressed the $#*% out of our clients! Here’s how the meeting went:  George Stroumboulis, CEO, Co-founder explained, “We just finished a fantastic meeting – in our opinion, at least. They’re always fantastic. We displayed about 7 different prototypes to a very large client here in New York. The feedback was actually fantastic with all the planning building up to this 45-minute meeting. What are your thoughts in general?” “I think it was great,” Chris Hartswick, CPO, Co-founder responds. You know a lot of times we spend so much effort on obviously the product but the details of – how are we going to package it, what are we going to show them, what is the room going to be like, there’s is a lot of guessing we have to do. But when it all comes together and we’re able to have such a successful meeting like that, it feels good. It’s exciting.” “Absolutely! Absolutely!” Stroumboulis exclaims. He then adds, “Getting in front of the client and being able to discuss with them in person, with our supporting parties that got us there, and really understanding their construction needs, their schedules and what their planning over the next 6-12 months, really puts it into perspective on what we’re really trying to do.” Stroumboulis explains the “Next steps are essentially rolling into full production on several of these projects which is always the goal. So from start to finish, we’re looking at 65-days when we were first engaged on this portfolio of products. This just shows our capabilities and how quickly we can turn things around from concept to installation.” Hartswick then adds, “I think it’s so important to note the meeting itself too. Getting that meeting, getting the entire design team in the room with us. It’s so difficult through emails and phone calls to get everyone on the same page to make it clear and make what’s known. Just that 30-45-minute meeting now it’s straights forward, we all know what’s to be done and what’s coming up. I feel that there is a weight off everyone’s shoulders” Hartswick summarized the client’s response, “The customer is much more confident in our capabilities. Obviously seeing the product makes them realize exactly what they are going to be getting from us – the quality, the timing, everything. These meetings are so important.” There were a lot of moving parts to this successful meeting. From displayed prototypes, sharing product details and a timeline – Ideoli showed how it’s done. Ideoli’s Lighting Services Help Laguna Beach Dermatologist

At Ideoli, we have some very interesting clients. We asked esteemed dermatologist and Ideoli lighting client, Dr. Bobby Awadalla, to discuss the importance of lighting and working with us Here is what Dr. Bobby had to share: “We contacted Ideoli for a solution. We said we need nice even lighting. A bright white light that can give us the ability to do a skin exam without having to rely on flashlights or dermatoscopes,” says Dr. Bobby. Lighting truly makes a space, so we asked Dr. Bobby how important is lighting in your exam rooms? “When you have too bright a light, it kind of white washes the skin so it makes exams really difficult. When you have too dim a light, it does the reverse. You can’t really see the shadows that created by certain lesions. And so, you really just need that perfect amount of light that gives you a perfect skin exam. They really found that balance and allow us to do skin exams much more comfortably and with a lot more confidence,” says Dr. Bobby. This is a great example of how we partner with leaders in their own space to customize lighting products for them. Contact Ideoli to see how we can invigorate your space.
